Summary: Performs clerical duties such as the registration and scheduling of rehabilitation patients.  Requisitions and stocks supplies.  Assist patients and visitors in the fitness center as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

  • Schedules all Rehab patients
  • Obtains signatures on various forms
  • Collects co-payments
  • Requisitions and stocks supplies
  • Performs typing, filing and copying activities
  • Cleans office machines
  • Obtains specific information from patient or significant other such as age and insurance coverage for Rehab patients
  • Obtains signed statement form patient to protect Hospital’s interest
  • Uses ICD-10# codes for all Rehab outpatient diagnoses
  • Calls physician offices for order or diagnosis verification
  • Explains hospital regulations such as Rehab hours, payment of accounts, and schedules of charges
  • Gives general information about patient services and community fitness
  • Reviews patient rights and responsibilities
  • Verification of advance directives
  • Reviews how to report patient complaints, concerns and compliments
  • Creates monthly statistical reports for Rehab and Fitness Center
  • Collects payment for the fitness center members monthly payments
